South Asia Earthquake: Relief Work Update - January 2006 To date, your generous donations for South Asia Earthquake relief work have totalled over £1,700,000. Muslim Hands has used this money to provide shelter for tens of thousands of people, provide medical care, warm clothing and blankets, temporary schools and housing, and to assist civil reconstruction works. Work is ongoing and will continue to help survivors through the harsh winter and then to rebuild their lives. South Asia Earthquake Relief - October 2005 The earthquake which hit Pakistan and Kashmir on 8th October, 2005 was the strongest in the region for 100 years. Around 80,000 people were killed and 4 million left homeless. MH teams had mobilised within hours and the next day aid began flowing into affected areas. MH Tsunami Disaster Report - January 2005 On the 26th December 2004, South East Asia was hit by a massive tsunami that caused the world's worst natural disaster in living memory.
