Details: Muslim Hands, a UK-based international relief and development organisation working in over 40 countries worldwide, is expanding its team and has a number of excellent opportunities for experienced and committed individuals with a proven track record of working to deadlines and liaising with other departments to enhance the performance of the organisation.
As a member of the Projects Department and reporting to the Projects Manager you will be responsible for liaising with a number of countries to ensure projects are carried out in an efficient and timely manner. Additional roles include auditing and checking the financial accounting information and the administration systems to ensure compliance with Muslim Hands policies.
There will be a frequent requirement to travel to field offices around the world to carry out accounts and governance audits.
Successful candidates will possess the following skills / experience:
The ability to self-motivate and self-manage.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Leadership and team management skills.
IT literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is advantageous, in particular French, Arabic or Urdu.
UK driving licence with a willingness to travel is desirable.
Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
Applicants must be from an accountancy background and should have previous experience in auditing.
