A. Muslim Hands is a UK Registered Charity (Charity Reg. No. 1105056) and an international NGO working to help the poor and needy in over 40 of the world's poorest countries.
A. Our projects are varied. They include emergency response and aid delivery, education provision, housing, safe water, orphans care, environmental projects, etc. In short, our work is focused on addressing the needs of communities and helping those facing poverty find long term solutions.
A. Muslim Hands was established in early 1993 in Nottingham, UK. The charity arose from a community's desire to help those suffering in the Bosnian conflict. The capacity of the charity and work carried out continues to grow alhamdulillah. More details on our history can be found here.
A. Muslim Hands spends in excess of 6.000.000 € annually on projects.
A. Not a penny of your donation is spent on administration costs or salaries. Gift Aid received on donations covers all of these costs and makes a large contribution to fundraising costs also.

A. No, beneficiaries of our work include Muslims and non-Muslims. Whilst most of the areas where we operate have sizeable or majority Muslim populations we do not discriminate based on religion, race or ethnicity. In addition, we are signatories to the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement which sets out non-discriminatory guidelines.
A. The best way to support our work is to donate. There are however other ways to help us, as outlined here.
A. Of course! We have many non-Muslim donors who help support our vital work.
A. In the UK Muslim Hands' office is Nottingham. We also have a fundraising office in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa.
